Social media and the affects it has on us.

Social media has been around for a long time and people haven't always had such easy access to social media. But since the development of smart phones, getting access to social media is at your fingertips.  As David's health network said in 2023 there were an estimated 4.9 billion social media users worldwide. The average person spends 145 minutes on social media every day. This goes to show how many people use social media and how long the average person is staring at the screen. Many people begin to live their lives through social media.

How social media is Affecting your Heath

Many people post on social media pictures of what they are currently doing and who they are with and once you hit post that picture or video is sent for everyone on the web to see. This can lead to FOMO in some teens and develop anger towards friends that get jealous that they weren't invited or included in the picture. Social media can also give users depression or loneliness from all the time being spent on social media and not connecting with the real world.

My input on social media

I believe that social media is affecting people on the way they speak, act and are involved in the world. Many people see a new trend come out and many people will begin to do this trend to fit in since they saw it on social media. In my opinion social media is a brain rotting addiction that many people are addicted to and it affects their communication skills and motivation in life.

Final question

Since social media isn't going to fade away and is only getting more popular would you be able

to stay off the apps for a week or is the addition to strong.
